Vilain Garçon is a Montréal-based brand founded in 2020 by Alex and Ben — two people who were deep into rubber and BDSM and couldn't find bondage gear that didn't eventually fail. We started making our own in our apartment, chose the most resistant industrial-grade rubber on the market, and built gear we'd actually trust under load.
We now operate out of Montréal and our flagship studio in Schöneberg, Berlin. Everything is made by hand in small batches. There is no factory. There is no mass production. There is a small team that cares a lot about what we make and who it's for.
No. Our gear is made from EPDM — Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer at 3/32" (2.38mm) thickness. This is heavy industrial rubber engineered for high-stress mechanical environments. It is not fetish latex.
The distinction matters:
- UV and oil Resistance: Excellent
- Load Bearing: Industrial grade
- Latex Allergy Risk : None
- Lifespan: Years
- Odor Absorption: Minimal
At 2.38mm, our rubber stops behaving like a second skin and starts behaving like a structural element. It holds D-rings, supports stainless steel hardware, and absorbs lateral stress without tearing. This is the entire point.
Absolutely. Heavy rubber and latex are complementary, not competing. Many practitioners in the BDSM and fetish community use both: latex for full-body enclosure, catsuits, and sensory play where skintight sensation is the goal — and heavy rubber for restraints, harnesses, and structural bondage pieces where durability and load-bearing matter. The two materials serve different functions and work beautifully together in a well-built kit.
Yes. EPDM is a fully synthetic elastomer with no latex proteins, making it completely safe for people with latex allergies. It has been used in industrial, medical, and food-grade contexts for decades. It does not absorb body chemistry at the rate latex does, and it is significantly easier to clean and maintain hygienically.
Care & Maintenance
EPDM rubber is extremely durable, but it rewards proper care. The full protocol:
- After every use: Rinse with warm (not hot) water immediately.
- Wash: Use a soft cloth and a mild, fragrance-free, pH-neutral soap. Diluted dish soap works well.
- Dry: Air dry completely before storing. Lay flat or hang freely — never fold wet rubber.
- Condition: Apply a light coat of pure silicone lubricant with a soft cloth. This maintains surface suppleness, prevents micro-cracking, and restores the visual finish.
- Store: In a dark, cool location away from UV light, heat, and ozone sources (electric motors, some fluorescent lights).
With proper care, EPDM gear lasts for years — significantly longer than natural latex equivalents.

Ordering & Sizing
Every product page includes a sizing guide with specific measurements. For most pieces (harnesses, collars, cuffs), you'll need a measuring tape and 60 seconds.
- Harnesses: measure your chest at its widest point (across the nipples), arms relaxed at your sides
- Collars: measure your neck circumference at its widest point
- Wrist/Ankle Cuffs: measure the circumference of the joint being restrained
If you're between sizes, email us at info@vilaingarcon.com with your measurements and which piece you're considering. We'll tell you exactly which size to choose and, in some cases, whether a custom adjustment is possible.
We offer size exchanges. If the piece arrives and the fit isn't right, contact us within 14 days of delivery at info@vilaingarcon.com. We'll arrange an exchange for the correct size.
Sometimes. We do accommodate custom requests for customers with non-standard measurements or specific hardware configurations — particularly for returning customers and VIP clients. Reach out to us directly at info@vilaingarcon.com before placing an order to discuss what's possible.
Custom orders typically add 2–4 weeks to the production timeline and may carry a surcharge depending on complexity.
